Adam Paris

Height:
Weight:
From:
Fave Moves:
Finisher:

Bio:

The happy-go-lucky Adam Paris is one of Celtic Wrestling’s most loved competitors.

Always eager to put up a good fight, Paris has tangled with monsters like Kade Callous and Maddog Maxx during his C/W career, but, for all his effort, has very little to show in the way of wins.

After losing his hair to Thunderbolt Tommy Dean in a shot at the Interactive Title, Paris returned more determined than ever, and has since faired better in the ring wars.

A union with Chris Petherwick brought brief success, only for Petherwick to turn on his partner in a disgusting display. The subsequent singles feud saw Paris raise his game and even defeat his more experienced rival, showing that Adam Paris is one to watch in the future months.

Ashley Steele

Height:
Weight:
From: Hereford, England
Fave Moves:
Finisher:

Bio:

So far, Ashley Steele has appeared twice in Celtic Wrestling, with only limited success. First, it was an unsuccessful challenge against Jonny The Body for the Interactive Championship at the inaugural "All Or Nothing" in November 2007. Then, under the name of Jules Lambrini, he competed at "Total Elimination" later that month in Cwmaman, and although he survived the first match (teaming with 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean, Robbie Everest and Mister Stevie B), his downfall came in the final, when he, Everest and Stevie B were all eliminated at the hands of The Tie Dye Maphia and 'The One Man Riot' Thomas Bassey.

Ballymun Bruiser

Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 190 lbs
From: Ballymun 'the house of fun
Fave Moves:
Finishers: The Wicked Dream & The Legit Hit

Bio:

Although a top star in Celtic Wrestling's sister promotion Irish Whip Wrestling, the Bruiser has only made two appearances in Wales so far. His first outing was against 'Sweet Sugar' Steve Bassey at "Live And Let Die 2006" in Canton, Cardiff, whereby the Irishman suffered the humiliation of having to wear a dress after losing the contest, as a result of a stipulation.

However, his second C/W appearance was more rewarding when he was victorious in a three-on-two handicap tag team match at "Spring Loaded 2008", which again took place in Canton, Cardiff, with him partnering The Maniacal Doctor X (Gilligan Gordon) and T-Bone against El Psycho and 'Dirty Dancing' Danny McGuff.

Bam Katraz

Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 181 lbs
From: Skerries, Co Dublin, Ireland
Fave Moves: Torture Rack Powerbomb, Leglocked Powerbomb, Neckbreaker Combo, Bay City Roller
Finishers: Splash Mountain Bomb, Sunset Flip Powerbomb

Bio:

Bam Katraz is another well-known star of Celtic Wrestling's sister promotion Irish Whip Wrestling, but so far he has made only one appearance in Wales, defeating Jonny 'The Body' Rose at "Christmas Cracker 2006" in Canton, Cardiff.

Bingo Ballance

Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 172 lbs
From: Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland
Fave Moves:
Finishers: The G17 & The BSP

Bio:

As with Bam Katraz above, this Irish Whip Wrestling competitor has only appeared once in a Celtic Wrestling ring, defeating Jonny 'The Body' Rose at the first "Live And Let Die", which took place in Canton, Cardiff in August 2006.

Blockbuster

Height:

From:
Fave Moves:
Finishers:

Bio:

Blockbuster’s C/W career has thus far been fleeting. He first emerged in the winter of 2006 as a lackey of sorts to then Celtic Heavwyeight Champion Matt Vaughn.

With the help of Vaughn, he was able to steal one of C/W’s biggest ever upsets, in a pinfall win over Caiman. However, a fortnight later, Caiman earned his revenge by defeating Blockbuster and Vaughn in a specially-stipulated tag bout – and the villains quickly parted ways.

CJ Summers

Height:
Weight:
From:
Fave Moves:
Finishers:

Bio:

‘American Rockstar’ CJ Summers is one of Celtic Wrestling’s numerous international stars, and brought a taste of the States to the Welsh scene.

Combining a classic American style with Mexican Lucha Libre, Summers impressed by defeating Iestyn Rees in both men’s C/W debuts, and managed to shut the mouth of the ever-annoying ‘’Gentleman’’ Gilligan Gordon in the process.

Summers has also gained recognition in Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine by appearing as one of its PWI 5OO top wrestlers of the year.

Caiman

Height: 6' 6"
Weight: 240 lbs
From: Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales
Fave Moves: Whip, clothesline, bulldog combination and chokeslam
Finishers: CDD and front face chokeslam
Quote:  "I'll meet you, greet you and beat you!"

Bio:

Caiman is one of Celtic Wrestling's most beloved stars, and his strong style and crazy screams have won many fans, in C/W and other promotions such as Irish Whip and DCW in Holland. He has no problem in taking his feuds to the next level, throwing Matt Vaughn off a 15 foot high divide at 'Revenge 2005' in one of the company's greatest moments.

In the early days of Celtic Wrestling, Caiman was embroiled in a feud with 'The Brazillian Bad Boy' Psycho Silvera, and while interference and use of a foreign object would cost him wins at 'The Big Bang' and 'Whiplash', the Crocodilian Psycho finally earned retribution by pinning Silvera in a bloody Falls-Count-Anywhere match at 'Surprise Surprise in March 2006.

Caiman was a finalist in the tournament to crown the inaugural Celtic Wrestling champion, narrowly defeated by long time on-off rival Matt Vaughn. The match gave both men a new-found respect for each other, and Caiman and Vaughn would fight side by side in the following weeks to fend off Johnny James' The System.

As Vaughn reigned as champion, Caiman pursued the newly created Interactive belt, and in his 50th professional match, beat 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean to lift the title. Entering a rivalry with fellow champion Chris Recall (who had unseated Vaughn for heavyweight honors at 'Ultimate Chaos'), the Croc was denied title glory in Caerphilly when a DQ finish saved Recall's bacon in a gripping 2/3 falls match. However, Recall's number was up at the following show in Canton, Cardiff, where despite losing his Interactive title in a specially-stipulated triple theat match, Caiman was finally able to win the C/W Heavyweight belt in a memorable Last Man Standing showdown.

A whole summer of defences ensued. Former C/W Managing Director Johnny James threw every obstacle he could in Caiman's path. 'Thunderbolt' was defeated in a riotous brawl. Rivals from the champion's past, such as eXodus and 'The Pinnacle' Stu Sanders were similarly beaten. Even veteran Tracy Smothers was unable to stop the titleholder's run. However, arguably Caiman's crowning moment would be his defeat of former ECW, NWA and AWA World Champion 'The King Of Old School' Steve Corino, in a match where Corino would, on defeat, strap the title around Caiman's waist in the ultimate show of respect.

In the end, it would take a supposed friend to shatter the champion's title reign. After beating Kade Callous in a fierce battle at the first 'Live And Let Die' in August, Matt Vaughn came out and proceeded to turn on his ally, destroying Caiman's ribs with a double-foot stomp from the top onto a steel chair. With Caiman a weakened man, defences against Maddog Maxx and others proved difficult, before Vaughn finally snared the championship back from the Croc man at 'The Big Bang 2' in Cardiff.

Caiman bounced back from this loss, however, for at the second 'Surprise Surprise' in Cardiff the following March, he defeated Chris Recall in a brutal and bloody 'Loser Leaves C/W' match. Despite the loss, Recall developed a mutual respect for the Croc man, leading to the formation of the beloved tag team The Tie Dye Maphia. Initially teaming with Thomas Bassey and Jonny The Body, they defeated Egos United in an eight man tag match at 'Turbulence' in August, but despite two further wins over the team of Un-Cymru and Scouse, Caiman and Recall were denied the tag team championship against 'Sweet Sugar' Steve Bassey and Mister Stevie B. the following month in a 2/3 falls match. Caiman suffered a further defeat against Andy Boy Simmonz at 'The Big Bang 3', but during the long standing feud with Method And Madness (Scouse and Lyndon Ham), he and Recall finally won the tag team titles from 'Sweet Sugar' in a handicap match at 'Christmas Cracker' in December.

A knee injury at the hands of Method And Madness at 'Anger Management' the following month forced Recall out of action, leaving Caiman to defend the titles with substitute partners. Scouse and Ham were victorious over him and former WWE star Eugene at 'Spring Loaded' in May, but the return of Recall after the contest set up a rematch at 'The Big Bang 4' in September, contested under hardcore rules. Further losses to Scouse at 'Summer Heat' the next month, Lyndon Ham in a six-man elimination tag match two days later, and an unsuccessful challenge against Maddog Maxx for the C/W Heavyweight title at 'Independence Day' in July followed.

Caiman and Recall were denied the tag team titles at 'The Big Bang 4', due to the interference of the Bassey brothers and Tyler Browne, and a loss to Thomas Bassey at 'Turbulance' six days later didn't help the Croc man. However, following a victory with Chris Recall in the first ever 'nappies versus dresses' match at 'All Or Nothing' in November, Caiman finally became a champion again, defeating Maddog Maxx for the Heavyweight title in the latter's final match at 'Mental Breakdown'.

With all this now behind him, what will 2009 hold for the Crocodilian Psycho?

Captain Jack Swallow

Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 240 lbs
From: Dead Man's Island
Fave Moves: Head butt, clothesline
Finishers: Man Overboard (Fall Away Slam), Chokeslam
Quote:  "Oooh-arrrh!"

Bio:

Celtic Wrestling's grappling pirate made his debut at "Hard Labour" in April this year, where he teamed with the returning 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean and IwW star Mad Man Manson in a six-man tag match. He and his partners were victorious in that encounter, but his second and biggest win so far occurred at "Spring Loaded 2009", where he and Caiman won the tag team championship from Method And Madness (Scouse and Lyndon Ham). Unfortunately, this glory was short lived, for one night later at "Surprise Surprise", the title returned to Method And Madness after interference from 'The One Man Riot' Thomas Bassey.

Even so, Captain Jack Swallow has quickly become one of Celtic Wrestling's most popular competitors, and it's safe to say that many foes will walk the plank before his time on dry land is over.

Titles Held:
  C/W Tag Team Championship - (28/05/09 - 29/05/09)

Captain Rooney

Bio:

Captain Rooney is one of the top stars in C/W's sister promotion Irish Whip Wrestling, although his appearances in Wales have so far been fleeting. His first appearance was at 'Crowning The King' in February 2008, teaming with fellow IwW star Conor Hurley against Method And Madness in a number one contender's match for the C/W Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, he and Hurley came up short, but returned in September at 'Turbulance', where they finally defeated Scouse and Lyndon Ham for the titles.

He and Hurley made four successful defenses at IwW shows in Eire, but Rooney was unable to attend 'Mental Breakdown' in November, his absence proving a telling blow as Hurley and his substitute partner Edd Bailey lost the tag team championship to Method And Madness.

However, whether it happens to be with Hurley or not, we hope to see more of this young Irish star in the future.

  C/W Tag Team Championship - (18/09/08 - 28/11/08)

Chris Recall

Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 182 lbs
From: Cardiff, South Wales
Fave Moves: The Footprint - Superkick,
Recall Effect - DDT
Finisher: The Total Recall

Bio:

Chris Recall is one of only two men to have held both the Celtic Wrestling Heavyweight and Interactive championships. Originally a key member of The System, Recall became well known for trying to force the fans to respect his alleged greatness, and often caused controversy with his verbal attacks on members of the audience. His relationship with referees, especially senior official Ashley Cox, proved equally turbulent, and Recall's difficulty to control made him an athlete few officials wished to deal with. However, despite this lack of focus, and his fondness for strangely-themed outfits, Recall became one of the standouts for Celtic Wrestling in 2006.

Winning the Heavyweight championship in March from Matt Vaughn, Recall kick-started one of the most incredible runs in C/W history. Open challenges were accepted by 'The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm, Mad Man Manson, 'Flawless' Jay Phoenix and 'SOS' Seamus O'Shaunessy. Each time, Recall was able to escape with the title by the skin of his teeth. However, it would be a homegrown opponent in Caiman that would end Recall's reign, yet not before Recall took his own Interactive gold, making him the only man ever to hold both C/W titles similtaneously. While Recall's Interactive run would be fleeting, losing the title to Thomas Bassey in the big man's Merthyr Tydfil hometown, the egotistical star would remain a constant contender for both the Heavyweight and Interactive belts. His feud with former System ally Tyler Browne proved to be one of the hottest disputes of the year, with the two having several rip-roaring matches throughout the autumn of 2006.

A loss to Thomas Bassey in the semi-final of 'Crowning The King' in January 2007 prevented Recall from becoming the number 1 contender for the Heavyweight title, but he bounced back with a win over Rocking Ryan Lewis and two victories over Caiman. However, the Crocodilian Psycho avenged himself by defeating Recall in a brutal and bloody 'Loser Leaves C/W' match at 'Surprise Surprise' in March, and nothing was seen of the egotistical star for five long months. During his time away from the ring, Recall and Caiman developed a mutual respect for each other, their new found friendship culminating in the formation of The Tie Dye Maphia.

Recall returned to combat with his new ally at 'Tubulance' in August, teaming with Jonny The Body and Thomas Bassey against Egos United. Although victorious in that match, and despite subsequent wins over the team of Un-Cymru & Scouse, Recall and Caiman lost their tag team championship challenge against 'Sweet Sugar' Steve Bassey and Mister Stevie B. a month later. Recall claimed a measure of revenge against Mister Stevie B. at 'The Big Bang 3', and while feuding against Method And Madness, he solely survived 'Total Elimination' in Cwmaman. A loss followed at 'Mental Breakdown' in a tag team match partnering Justin Johnson, but he and Caiman finally snared the tag team championship from Steve Bassey in a handicap match at 'Christmas Cracker'.

Unfortunately, a brutal attack to his leg by Method And Madness at 'Anger Management' in January 2008 sidelined Recall, leaving Caiman to defend the tag team titles with various partners in his absence. Recall's sudden return at 'Spring Loaded' in May was met with a huge reaction from the audience, and this set up a match at 'The Big Bang 4' in September against new tag champions Method And Madness under hardcore rules. Recall defeated Lyndon Ham at 'Summer Heat' in June, forcing Ham to compete in a dress two days later at 'Live And Let Die', but met defeat at 'Independence Day' the following month in a handicap match against the champions.

Recall and Caiman's challenge at 'The Big Bang 4' was halted by the Bassey brothers and Tyler Browne, but Recall got his revenge on Browne six days later at 'Turbulence'. Victory with Caiman in the first ever 'nappies versus dresses' match at 'All Or Nothing' in November gave Recall momentum, whereby he became Interactive champion for the second time over Thomas Bassey at 'Mental Breakdown' later in the month, and followed this victory at 'Christmas Cracker' with a win partnering Caiman and El Psycho in a six-man tag match.

Whatever the future holds, Chris Recall will always be one of Celtic Wrestling's top competitors.

Bio:

One of the top stars of C/W's sister promotion Irish Whip Wrestling, Conor Hurley's fleeting appearances in Wales have concluded in mixed fortunes. He debuted at 'Crowning The King' in late February 2008 with fellow IwW star Captain Rooney, in a number one contenders' match for the C/W tag team championship against Method And Madness, but on this occasion Scouse and Lyndon Ham proved to be too much for the Irish duo.

Hurley returned to C/W at 'Summer Heat' with a changed attitude towards the fans, but again came up short in a triple threat match against Nik Dutt and eventual victor Matt Vaughn. However, his re-teaming with Rooney at 'Turbulance' in September finally secured him some C/W gold, and after the victory over Method And Madness, the IwW pairing successfully defended the tag team championship at four shows in Eire.

A rematch for the titles was scheduled at 'Mental Breakdown' in Cardiff two months later, but when only Hurley came out to the ring, the Board Of Directors gave him just twenty seconds to find a substitute partner against Scouse and Ham. Conor chose Edd Bailey, the ring announcer for the evening, but although they put up a decent showing, Scouse and Ham were victorious in reclaiming the tag team championship.

Will the Irishman capture a C/W title again when he next returns? Only time will tell.

Deathrow

Bio:

Since storming into Celtic Wrestling in the autumn of 2006, Deathrow has waved a path of destruction that few men have come close to in the promotion. After wiping out Tyler Browne, Rockin' Ryan Lewis and countless others, the big man was the sole surviving wrestler at C/W's first 'Total Elimination' event, outlasting around nineteen other men that night including several C/W champions. A spell under the management of Guidance followed, yet Deathrow proved too uncontrollable for even this master manipulator, and the two soon parted ways.

Deathrow's undefeated streak continued, however, with nobody proving to be a match for him, and in January 2008 at 'Anger Management' he became part of 'The Instruments Of Destruction' with T-Bone and Justin Johnson, under the management of 'Gentleman' Gilligan Gordon. Incidentally, Gordon has so far been the only man to gain control over the masked behemoth, by use of a supposed family heirloom previously owned by one of Deathrow's relations.

After the surprise win by referee Ashley Cox over Steven Bassey in an impromptu Interactive championship match at 'Anger Management', Deathrow was named number one contender for the title. While unlikely title holder Cox avoided a confrontation with the big man at 'Crowning The King' in February due to unforeseen circumstances, his luck ran out when Deathrow destroyed him a month later at 'Surprise Surprise' and claimed the championship.

Deathrow's reign as champion was short lived, though, as he lost the Interactive title in May to Thomas Bassey in a brutal 'ten thousand thumbtacks' match at 'Spring Loaded', which in turn ended his undefeated run. A futher singles loss occurred at 'The Big Bang 4', which in turn led to the end of 'The Instruments Of Destruction' at "Mental Breakdown" two months later, after his former stable mate T-Bone left the fold.

A change of heart has come over the masked man since this time, for after losing a three-on-two handicap match at "Crowning The King 2009", he turned on his temporary partners Method And Madness in the aftermath, not only earning the respect of the fans in attendance but also that of former foe El Psycho, a member of the opposing team. Deathrow is currently involved in a feud with Jonathan James, who claims to have the behemoth under management, and it will interesting to see how this develops over the coming months.

El Psycho

Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 233 lbs
From: Aberfan, South Wales
Fave Moves: Fall Away Slam, Leg Drop, Chokeslam
Finisher: Knock Out Punch

Bio:

"The System's just got a whole lot BIGGER!" That was the comment then C/W Managing Director Jonathan James made when El Psycho was introduced as The System's newest and biggest member at 'Danger Zone 2006'. El Psycho made a huge impact in C/W, knocking out opponent after opponent in a personal quest to punish those that dared to get in his path, while rarely leaving Jonathan James' side as his personal bodyguard and hitman.

During his days in The System, El Psycho's intimidating presence at ringside unnerved those facing his associates in the squared circle, but after the demise of the loathed faction, he completely changed his ways, and these days is one of Celtic Wrestling's most beloved competitors.

So far, a title has eluded the big man, even though he came close to snaring the Celtic Wrestling heavyweight championship in a six-man elimination match at 'Crowning The King' in February 2008, but with the fans behind him every time he steps in the ring, 2009 may just be El Psycho's year to finally claim gold.

Quote:  "You know it makes sense!"

Bio:

Although his debut in Celtic Wrestling was at "April Showers 2007" as a second to Iestyn Rees, 'Gentleman' Gilligan Gordon came into his own at "Anger Management 2008" in January that year, when he led Deathrow to ringside during a match between 'The One Man Riot' Thomas Bassey and T-Bone. Proving to be anything but a gentleman, Gordon formed 'The Instruments Of Destruction' that night, initially with Deathrow and T-Bone brutally beating Bassey to cause a disqualification victory for the Merthyr Tydfil man, and then acquiring Justin Johnson after interference in a Last Man Standing match where Johnson was battling Matt Vaughn, costing Vaughn a victory in the process. In turn, 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean felt the wrath of this then new faction, when Gordon ordered Deathrow to attack Dean from behind at "Crowning The King" the following month after a verbal altercation.

However, Gilligan has proven that he's not just a devious manager, but an accomplished wrestler. His initial in-ring appearance came at "Surprise Surprise" in March, where as his masked alter-ego 'The Maniacal Doctor X', he competed in a six-man elimination contest. Although he himself was eliminated during the match, Gordon executed an impressive display of skill and technical ability, and he claimed a moral victory when his protégé T-Bone won the contest outright. Further victory in a managerial sense came later for him at the same event, when Deathrow easily defeated senior C/W referee Ashley Cox for the Interactive championship, but pride came before a fall as Justin Johnson was denied a second straight win over Matt Vaughn in a devastating 'I Quit!' war.

Following the win by Deathrow over 'Dirty Dancing' Danny McGuff at C/W's first show in Glynneath, Gordon returned to the ring at "Spring Loaded" in May, again under the guise of 'Doctor X', and earning another victory in a two-on-three handicap tag team match. However, this success turned into a nightmare, for later at the same event Deathrow suffered his first ever defeat at the hands of Thomas Bassey, with Bassey winning the Interactive championship for an unprecedented third time in a 'ten thousand thumbtacks' match. During the latter encounter, Gilligan was choke slammed onto the tacks, and in turn almost suffered the wrath of Deathrow following his loss, but regained control of the masked behemoth using an alleged family heirloom. In addition, more woes came for Gordon that night, as Justin Johnson failed in his bid to become the C/W heavyweight champion in a triple threat match.

A further defeat occurred in a six-man tag team encounter at "Summer Heat" in June, as Gordon (this time wrestling as himself) once more joined forces with Deathrow and T-Bone to face Jonny The Body, Thomas Bassey and El Psycho. Gilligan then made his singles debut against Marcus Kool at "Independence Day", C/W's inaugural event in Fochriw, but again came up short in the victory honors. Likewise, his protégés Deathrow and T-Bone suffered singles defeats at "The Big Bang 4", and also another joint effort between the three of them at "Turbulance" six days after didn't go well. However, Gilligan himself tasted his first singles victory just one day later at "Stipulation Bonanza" in Glynneath, defeating the ring announcer David Peasant in an impromptu match.

Gordon wasn't in attendance at "Trick Or Treat" in Abertillery, but his presence was certainly felt as Deathrow demolished C/W newcomer Hubert. Arguably, though, Gilligan's hardest fought match came at the second "All Or Nothing", when he came within a whisker of defeating 'Flying' Mike Bird on several occasions. However, the tight fabric of 'The Instruments Of Destruction' unraveled at "Mental Breakdown" after T-Bone was defeated by Mad Man Manson, with T-Bone becoming a fan favourite in the wake of a post match argument.

The self-proclaimed 'gentleman' of Celtic Wrestling is currently alone, with Deathrow now also having parted company with him, but rest assured that Gilligan Gordon will continue to make his presence felt in some fashion throughout 2009.

Fave Moves: Spin Out Powerbomb, Northern Lights Suplex, Half-Nelson Suplex, Running Dropkick, Cobra Clutch Bomb
Finisher: Devil's Welcome (Sunset Flip Bomb)

Bio:

Justin Johnson is a young wrestler trained by Caiman, and so far he has shown the world what he's made of, starting in Celtic Wrestling. Shortly after debuting in C/W in 2006, Johnson got off on the wrong foot with The System, and joined the many wrestlers who wished to put a stop to Jonathan James and Chris Recall's tirade.

Johnson saw brief success as a tag team partner with Andrew Marney, picking up victories over other teams in Celtic Wrestling, including a surprise win over Jonny The Body and Kade Callous. However, after being viciously attacked and betrayed by his partner, Johnson returned to singles competition, with the aim of someday reaching the top of the Celtic Wrestling mountain firmly in his mind.

Justin also made an impression at C/W's first Abetillery show, 'Seasons Beatings', where he went up against Matt Vaughn in an exhilarating contest that pushed both men to their limit. Justin came up short against the former two-time Celtic Wrestling heavyweight champion, but earned Vaughn's respect and a standing ovation from the crowd after the match.

Mixed fortunes followed Johnson from January 2007, with wins over such opponents as his former partner Andrew Marney and El Psycho, but losses against those such as Deathrow clouded these triumphs. Justin resumed his on-off rivalry with Matt Vaughn at 'Summer Heat' in Cardiff, and after another tremendous match, they were tied at one victory each. Following a further win over Kade Callous, Johnson came up short in a C/W Heavyweight Championship challenge against Maddog Maxx, and two more losses didn't help his cause, but one rivalry would rear its head again for the young Merthyr Tydfil star.

Justin faced Matt Vaughn once more in a tables match at 'The Big Bang 3', with both wrestlers taking their skills beyond their previous encounters. Unfortunately, that match was deemed a 'no contest' after Vaughn suplexed Johnson through a table off a pile of tumbling mats, leaving both competitors hurt and unable to continue. Frustration began to build inside Justin after being eliminated from a tag team match at 'Total Elimination', and then losing a tag match six days later with Chris Recall as his partner. This led to him finally losing his cool after a triple threat C/W Heavyweight Championship match with Vaughn and Maddog at 'Christmas Cracker', sparking a complete change of attitude within his heart.

Now hated by the fans, Justin joined 'The Instruments Of Destruction' after they assisted him in defeating Matt Vaughn at 'Anger Management 2008', and following victory at 'Crowning The King' deeming him number 1 contender for the C/W heavyweight title once more, he attempted to make Vaughn say "I Quit!" at 'Surprise Surprise' in March. He was robbed of the chance due to the 30-minute time limit expiring, and after suffering two cradle piledrivers from a frustrated Vaughn, he was carried out of the arena.

Justin is currently sidelined due to an injury suffered at 'Spring Loaded', but hopefully he will make his return to Celtic Wrestling soon.

The huge Kade Callous is classed as a “natural” by his colleagues and his mixture of power and agility is a lethal combination. Kade has toured the halls up and down the UK and is quite an accomplished grappler, winning titles and fans in numerous promotions.

However, after a humbling loss to Stiro in Merthyr, Callous has undergone huge changes; with a change of look and more crucially of attitude making him an entirely new beast to deal with. Casting his supporters aside, Kade's goal is now not to win hearts but to break bones, en route to his ultimate aim of Celtic Wrestling gold. With this new fire inside him, it seems few can stop the big man as he smashes his way up the C/W ladder.

Bio:

A long time member of the C/W roster, and one of the top heel wrestlers in the business, Lyndon Ham made his debut at 'The Big Bang 2' in October 2006 against Justin Johnson. The match was ruled a 'no contest' due to outside interference, and after two further matches as a singles competitor, his opponents being Caiman and 'Rocking' Ryan Lewis, he formed the tag team of 'Un-Cymru' with fellow C/W star Wayne John. Loathed by the fans for their blatant anti-Welsh bias, Ham and John debuted at 'Spring Loaded 2007' in May that year, earning successive victories in the 'Tag Team Turmoil' tournament. This led to fairly limited success, however, and it was this team joining forces with Scouse that made Ham realise where his future lay.

After the departure of Wayne John from Celtic Wrestling, Lyndon and Scouse formed the team of Method And Madness, entering into a long standing feud with The Tie Dye Maphia (Caiman and Chris Recall). Method And Madness became infamous for attacking Recall's leg at 'Anger Management 2008' the following January, putting him out of action for five months, and although they were victorious in a number one contender match for the tag team championship, further success eluded them until 'Spring Loaded', when they finally won the titles from Caiman and his stand-in partner Eugene.

Despite a successful title defense with Scouse five days later, a humiliating defeat against Chris Recall followed in a singles match at 'Summer Heat', resulting in Lyndon having to wear a dress two days after at 'Live And Let Die'. Although he survived a six-man elimination tag match, his humiliation escalated when Caiman removed the dress beforehand to reveal Ham in women's underwear! Revenge was sweet for Lyndon at 'Independence Day', when he and Scouse defeated Recall in a handicap match, and this continued at 'The Big Bang 4' in September with a second successive tag team title defense against Caiman and Recall in a hardcore match.

Unfortunately, the glory of Method And Madness was short lived, for just six days later at 'Turbulance' they lost the titles to Irish Whip Wrestling stars Conor Hurley and Captain Rooney, the same two wrestlers they had defeated at 'Crowning The King'. However, Ham and Scouse were back on their winning formula at 'Trick Or Treat', following their defeat of newcomers Chris Knight and Adam Day, which led to them reclaiming the tag team championship from Conor Hurley and his substitute partner Edd Bailey at 'Mental Breakdown'.

Bio:

Matt Vaughn is the promotion's first ever heavyweight champion. It is unsurprising then that the Mountain Ash competitors' ego has spiraled out of control in recent months.

A self-proclaimed TV star on the Wrestling Channel, dressed like a rock star, with a movie star attitude, Vaughn is one of Celtic Wrestling's most hated athletes. He is though, also one of it's best, with a high flying and reckless ring style that makes him very difficult to beat.

Despite interfering in the main event of Celtic Wrestling's inaugural show, fans developed a degree of respect for Vaughn - firstly in his risk-filled series with Caiman in winter 2005, and then when he won the 'Crowning The King' championship tournament at the dawn of the new year.

However, after losing the title to Chris Recall and being pummeled by Maddog Maxx all summer, Vaughn became a bitter individual, and would throw the fan's support back in their faces when he obliterated their hero Caiman's ribs at August's 'Live and Let Die'. Walking once more on the wrong side of the tracks, Vaughn had the audacity to challenge feared NWA North American champ Dru Onyx, and came within a whisker of becoming the first Brit to hold the historic title.

Since then, Vaughn has pulverised former friend The Workman for kicks on Chaos, and lured Caiman into a grudge Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at 'Big Bang 2' that he won to reclaim the title. On top of Celtic Wrestling for the second time, Vaughn has vowed to stay there, and with the brash youngster chalking up wins across the British Isles, it will take a great man rather than a good one to dethrone the current Celtic kingpin.

Although some wrestlers may find the crowd a distraction, Mike Bird is so technically gifted that he can still easily punish his opponent with a variety of holds before hitting a big moonsault or splash. Bird's biggest match in Celtic Wrestling occurred at 'May-hem', when as a surprise opponent he came agonisingly close to winning the Celtic Heavyweight title from then-champ Chris Recall, in an excellent contest.

Bird also holds wins over Chris Petherwick, 'The Eliminator' Edd Ferris and Marcus Kool, while his face-off with IwW's Red Vinny at 'Big Bang 2' was one of the highlights of the promotion's anniversary spectacular.

Once a hated competitor, the newly bleach-blonde Berretta has won over many of the Celtic fans, especially the women. However, having not appeared in C/W rings for some months now, it seems this has caused 'The Sick One' to lose focus on his Celtic Wrestling career.

Quote:  "Are you telling me to calm down? You need to calm down!"

Bio:

Since his debut in June 2007, Scouse has earned a reputation as one of the most cunning and hated men in Celtic Wrestling. Fond of telling his opponents and the audience to calm down, he began his career as a singles competitor, but soon became part of the loathed tag team Method And Madness, with he and partner Lyndon Ham quickly entering into a long standing feud against The Tie Dye Maphia (Caiman and Chris Recall).

Proving he isn't one to play by the rules, Scouse assisted Ham in the memorable but cowardly attack on Recall's leg at 'Anger Management 2008', costing the popular wrestler five months of ring action. A joint win with Ham over IwW stars Conor Hurley and Captain Rooney at 'Crowning The King' deemed him partial number 1 contender for the C/W tag team championship. However, further success eluded Scouse until 'Spring Loaded', when he and Ham won the titles from Caiman and former WWE star Eugene, who was substituting for the injured Recall.

After a successful title defense against Nik Dutt and Matt Mensa, a singles victory over Caiman followed at 'Summer Heat', but he was eliminated by disqualification two days later in a six-man tag match, which his partner Ham eventually won. Bouncing back with a handicap win with Ham over Chris Recall at 'Independence Day', and a second successful tag title defense against Caiman and Recall at 'The Big Bang 4', Scouse's luck ran out when he and Ham were defeated by Hurley and Rooney.

A win over C/W rookies Chris Knight and Adam Day at 'Trick Or Treat' changed Scouse and Ham's fortunes, for their win over Conor Hurley and his substitute partner Edd Bailey at 'Mental Breakdown' has made the Liverpudlian one half of the only two-time tag team champions in C/W history.

Whatever the future brings for him, remember one thing - it isn't Scouse who needs to calm down, it's you!

'Slippery' Eddie Lizzard is one of Celtic Wrestling's up and coming stars, and although his career has so far been fleeting, much more is expected of this young talent in the months to come.

Since his debut at 'Trick Or Treat' in early October 2008, where he defeated fellow up and comer Syndrome in the quarter-finals of the Halloween Tournament, Lizzard has had mixed fortunes in the ring. He was defeated in the semi-finals of the same tournament by Deathrow, but at 'All Or Nothing' in November he was victorious over T-Bone by disqualification.

A rematch against Syndrome at 'Mental Breakdown' later that month became an impromptu triple threat encounter after Kade Callous injected himself, and although there was no glory for Eddie on this occasion, revenge was sweet at 'Christmas Cracker' when he defeated Callous in the main event.

Eddie was named 'Rookie Of The Year' at the Celtic Wrestling awards ceremony in December, but will 2009 be 'The Year Of The Lizzard'?

After a career playing semi-pro (gridiron) football for Montreal, Plattsburg and Lake City, Onyx pursued his interest in pro wrestling; under the guidance of Paul LeDuc, Smith Hart (of the famous Hart family of Calgary) and others.

In 2003, a chance meeting with Eddie Guerrero gave Dru the impetus to seek overseas bookings, and this lead to Onyx's first tour of the UK for NWA Hammerlock. Onyx first competed in Wales on October 27th 2004, when, under the guise of 'Son of Abdullah', he lost the NWA British Commonwealth title to Fergal Devitt (now NJPW's Pegasus Kid II) in a memorable tour de force of a match.

By the end of the year though, Onyx would claim the title back and become a champion on three different continents. 2005 saw a rematch with Devitt on the NWA's 57th Anniversay show, which lead to an invitation to train the New Japan Inoki Dojo in California. Since then, Onyx has tackled Sabu - in what was Sabu's last indy appearance before signing with WWE - and become the NWA North American Champion.

Celtic Wrestling was proud in August this year to host a defence of this title (as held by Jeff Jarrett in the World Wrestling Federation and a myriad of NWA legends), when Onyx defeated Matt Vaughn in a hard-hitting contest.

Bio:

Every woman's fantasy and every wrestler's fear, 'Sweet Sugar' Steven Bassey hails from the streets of Beautyville, promising to destroy all those who oppose him and then leave with the ladies.

In his Celtic Wrestling career, Sugar has warred with 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean over the affections of Dean's sister Cynthia, and won a bitter feud with Frankie Sharp, forcing the 'Razor Blade' to don a dress at "Surprise Surprise 2006". His semi-regular tag team with his brother 'The One Man Riot' Thomas Bassey also saw Sugar earn valuable wins over The System, while his 'Men At Work' allegiance with The Workman proved to be an obstacle of The System and The UK Freebirds during 2006.

Sugar's greatest victory occurred in August that year, when he defeated Irish Whip Wrestling star The Ballymun Bruiser in Dublin. Meanwhile, the same month saw tag team glory for the Bassey brothers, as they won a tournament in England against some of the UK's top pairings.

Sugar became C/W Managing Director in January 2007, seemingly having the fans' wishes at heart, but his attitude drastically changed at the conclusion of "May-Hem" that year, when he turned on his brother after restarting an Interactive championship match against Jonathan James, allowing James in the process to steal the title. Soon after, Sugar formed Egos United with his former C/W tag team partner The Workman, the latter now re-christened Mister Stevie B. The dastardly pair defeated Thomas Bassey and Caiman at "Live And Let Die" in Cwmaman, and although Egos United lost an eight-man tag match partnering Jonathan James and Benjamin Scott at "Turbulence" in early July, they rebounded by winning the C/W tag team championship from Thomas Bassey and Andy Boy Simmons just five days later.

A singles win for Sugar occurred over Tyler Browne at "Rock 'N' Wrestling" later that month, along with a tag team victory partnering Jonathan James at the same event, although the end of that show saw him eliminated in the closing eight-man tag team match. However, Egos United successfully defended the tag team championship over The Tie Dye Maphia in a 2/3 falls match at "Enter The Dragon" in September, and in a 'Brotherly Love' match at "The Big Bang 3" a month later, Sugar defeated his older brother in a somewhat questionable fashion.

Sugar's egotistical attitude was dealt a triple blow at "Christmas Cracker" in December, for in succession he lost the Managing Director title to 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean, followed by the tag team championship to The Tie Dye Maphia in a handicap match due to Mister Stevie B's absence, and finally a lumberjack match against his brother Thomas. He rebounded from this by winning the Interactive championship from Jonny The Body at 'Anger Management' in January 2008, but lost the title in a shocking manner just moments later to senior C/W referee Ashley Cox.

Early elimination in a six-man encounter cost Sugar his chance to claim the C/W Heavyweight Championship at "Crowning The King" the following month, but a win over El Psycho at "Ultimate Chaos" two days later restored his over-inflated ego to its fullest. A rather quiet period followed until "Live And Let Die" in June, although he was once more eliminated in a six-man tag match, and he didn't fare much better later in the show when he lost a 'no disqualification' match against his brother for the Interactive championship.

The most shocking moment involving Sugar came at "The Big Bang 4" in September, for during a hardcore rules match for the C/W tag team championship between The Tie Dye Maphia and Method And Madness, blood was proven to be thicker than water as he joined his brother and Tyler Browne in blatantly attacking Caiman and Chris Recall, leaving Method And Madness victorious in the outcome. Now one third of the faction named SA50, he returned to in-ring action at "Mental Breakdown", where he and Browne defeated the tag team of David Peasant and Mark Vendetta, but the end of 2008 ended on a sour note, as he and Method And Madness fell victim to The Tie Dye Maphia and El Psycho in another six-man tag team encounter at "Christmas Cracker".

What will 2009 have in store for the man from Beautyville?

However, Bone was no match for his opponent that night and had to walk away empty-handed.

Fave Moves: German Suplex and Bribing the Ref
Finisher: The Halo

Bio:

The Saint, at one time one of Celtic Wrestling's most hated, seems to have changed his ways. After losing to the 'One Man Riot' Bassey at 'Live and Let Die', Saint took some time out to reflect and on returning at Big Bang 2, won the fans over with a spirited victory over former Interactive Champion 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean.

An accomplished singles competitor, Saint breaking ties with rulebreakers like Jonny The Body should give the master of the Halo new focus as he looks to make more impact in C/W the new year.

Bio:

Since his debut in a rumble match at the inaugural "Big Bang" in October 2005, the man they call 'The One Man Riot', Thomas Bassey, has built a reputation in Celtic Wrestling with his immense power and amazing resilience. His ability to keep fighting back has been proven time and time again, while his devastating spear and high-powered offense make him an equally feared prospect for all Celtic Wrestling stars.

After his singles debut at the first "Christmas Cracker" in December, in which he soundly defeated The Workman, and a victory over 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean at "Seasons' Beatings" later that same month, Bassey claimed his first victory of 2006 at the first "Anger Management" in January over Ricky Hype, albeit via disqualification. However, most of the year was spent battling The System, as then C/W Managing Director Jonathan James threw all that he could in the big man's path. Bassey was forced to face his brother 'Sweet Sugar' Steve Bassey in three consecutive matches at "Whiplash" in February, and a final joint effort by The System denied him from becoming the first Interactive champion the same month in a five man gauntlet match at "Mental Breakdown". However, Bassey claimed a measure of revenge by defeating the new champion 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean for the second time in a non-title match at "Surprise Surprise" in March, despite losing a tag team encounter with his brother against Dean and 'Razor Blade' Frankie Sharp earlier that month.

An unfortunate series of defeats in both singles and tag team competition followed, but Bassey finally returned to his winning ways with a victory over Jonny The Body at the first "Free For All" in early June, and although he lost to System member Tyler Browne the same day, he and 'Sweet Sugar' defeated Browne and Chris Recall just seven days later at "Lock Up". Later that month at "Danger Zone", he defeated both Browne and Thunderbolt in a two-on-one handicap match, but his biggest victory at the time occurred at "Smash Up!" one week after, when his impromptu challenge towards an already victorious Recall resulted in him winning the Interactive championship to one of the loudest ovations in C/W history. Bassey proudly defended his newly won title against all comers, including past opponents such as Frankie Sharp, Chris Recall and his own brother, as well as new challengers like El Psycho and Canadian legend Dragon Aisu. His reign as champion lasted throughout the summer and autumn of 2006, but his old nemesis Thunderbolt finally snared back the Interactive title in a brutal and bloody 'ten thousand thumbtacks' match at the end of the year.

A loss to Kade Callous in the final of "Crowning The King" at the beginning of 2007 denied Bassey the number one contendership for the Celtic Wrestling heavyweight championship, but 'The One Man Riot' redeemed himself with back to back victories against Andrew Marney and in a three-on-one handicap encounter, the tag team of Callous, Deathrow and Guidance. However, a double loss occurred for Bassey at "Ultimate Chaos" in early March, but after forming a tag team with Andy Boy Simmons, more gold came his way when he and Simmons became the promotion's first ever tag team champions. Bassey made Celtic Wrestling history in May by becoming the first man to hold two titles simultaneously, after defeating Kade Callous in a boxing match at "Spring Loaded" to reclaim the Interactive championship. However, his second reign with the latter title only lasted until the end of the month, for after a successful defense against Jonathan James at "May-Hem", he was betrayed by his own brother in a shocking turn of events, allowing James to steal the championship in an impromptu second encounter moments later.

A further defeat against Deathrow followed at "Summer Heat" in June, and a tag team pairing with Caiman against 'Sweet Sugar' and Mister Stevie B. (the latter formerly being The Workman) also failed to bring Bassey success, but the destruction of the debuting Scouse during the second "Free For All" at the end of the month proved his dominance once again. A loss to Mister Stevie B. followed in July, and victory in an eight man tag team match against a foursome including his brother and the former Workman came in early August, but fate dealt Bassey a more cruel blow when he and Simmons lost the tag team championship to these two at the aptly-named second "Revenge" show just five days later.

A double victory at "Rock 'N' Wrestling" occurred at the end of August, but a second attempt by Bassey to claim the Heavyweight championship in September came up short, and this loss wasn't helped when 'Sweet Sugar' earned a questionable victory in the first ever 'Brotherly Love' match at "The Big Bang 3". However, subsequent victories at "All Or Nothing" and "Total Elimination" then occurred, and although another encounter with Deathrow at "Mental Breakdown" ended with both men fighting back to the locker room, ruling that match a 'no contest', Bassey ended the year on a high when he avenged himself against 'Sweet Sugar' in a lumberjack match.

2008 began for 'The One Man Riot' with a disqualification victory over T-Bone at "Anger Manangement", although this came back to haunt him at "Crowning The King", when he was once more denied a win in the final by T-Bone's new ally Justin Johnson. Bassey then repartnered Caiman in successive victories over Method And Madness at "Ultimate Chaos" and "Surprise Surprise", with 'The One Man Riot' replacing an injured Chris Recall in both cases, and at "Spring Loaded" he defeated Deathrow to claim the Interactive championship for an unprecedented third time, the latter encounter ironically fought under the same stipulation as when his first title reign ended in December 2006. This winning streak continued with in a tag team encounter at "Summer Heat", partnering El Psycho and Jonny The Body.

Two successful Interactive title defenses against Matt Vaughn and a changed Jonny The Body followed at "Independence Day" and "The Big Bang 4" respectively, with the crowds in Fochriw and Cardiff solidly behind him, but something would happen to change this perspective of their hero. Later during "The Big Bang 4", blood was proved to be thicker than water in a shocking display, as Bassey and his suddenly no longer estranged brother joined forces with former foe Tyler Browne to brutally attack Caiman and Chris Recall, causing the three of them to be booed out of the arena.

Now a completely changed individual, 'The One Man Riot' earned a tainted victory over Caiman at "Turbulance", but Caiman's partner Recall claimed a measure of revenge over Bassey just a day later at "Stipulation Bonanza". However, this now heated rivalry caused Caiman and Recall to be questionably disqualified at "Trick Or Treat" against Bassey and Browne, but the dastardly duo paid for this unpopular victory in the first ever 'Nappies Versus Dresses' match at the second "All Or Nothing". In turn, Bassey's third Interactive championship reign finally came to a grinding halt at "Mental Breakdown", when Recall defeated him in a grueling 'finisher' match, pitting the former's spear against the latter's superkick. During the match, 'The One Man Riot' suffered a severe laceration to his head which required hospital treatment, but he again showed his resilience as he fought Recall to the bitter end, despite hearing the jeers of the crowd with every manoeuvre he executed.

It's now safe to say that it may be quite some time before Thomas Bassey returns to favour with his former fans, but his powerful presence will always be felt whenever he steps into the squared circle.

Fave Moves: DDT, shoulder breaker and Electrode Bomb
Finishers: The Power Cut and Electric Shock (Curtain Call)
Quote:  "You are gonna feel the electrodes run through your body!"

Bio:

Formerly a two time Interactive champion, 'Thunderbolt' Tommy Dean was once the most feared and hated man in Welsh wrestling, famous for his pre-match microphone tirades and brutal in-ring style, but at "Christmas Cracker 2007" in December that year, the Treharris hardman suddenly had a change of heart. Sidelined with an injury, he made the announcement that he had been appointed the managing director of Celtic Wrestling for the following year, and with his first decision against former position holder 'Sweet Sugar' Steve Bassey, the chorus of jeers he was so used to hearing turned to rousing cheers.

With every appearance, Thunderbolt became more and more popular, although some of his decisions didn't sit well with some members of the Celtic Wrestling roster. One notable example occurred at the third annual "Crowning The King" in February 2008, where after denying Deathrow an Interactive championship match against the absent champion Ashley Cox, Tommy was attacked from behind by the masked monster. However, Thunderbolt continued to prove effective throughout his tenure as managing director, although he always claimed he didn't have the answers.

After sixteen long months, Tommy returned to in-ring competition at "Hard Labour" in April this year, where he participated in a six-man tag match with Mad Man Manson and Captain Jack Swallow, with the three of them emerging victorious over the Bassey brothers and their 'secret weapon' Danny Blue-Eye. He unfortunately came up short in a triple threat match at "Spring Loaded", but as Thunderbolt has proven and will no doubt continue to prove, you can't ever keep a tough man down for long.

Bio:

Tracy Smothers is Celtic Wrestling's most experienced grappler, boasting a career spanning several decades and many many promotions. Smothers featured in WCW, where he teamed with Steve Armstrong as 'The Southern Boys' and 'The Young Pistols' in feuds with the Fabulous Freebirds amongst others.

In the mid 1990s, Smothers was a top star in Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling, competing in one of wrestling's earliest ladder matches against the late Chris Candido. Entering the World Wrestling Federation in 1995, Smothers, as 'Freddie Joe Floyd', tangled with rising stars Stone Cold Steve Austin, HHH and others before moving on to ECW as part of the Full Blooded Italians stable.

Now a staple on the indy circuit, veteran Smothers has had varied success in Celtic Wrestling; dropping a title match to Caiman at 'Enter The Dragon' before winning an international four-way match at Big Bang 2. From teaming with Cactus Jack in Japan, to wrestling a bear, to dancing with Tyler Browne, Smothers has done it all - but is still ready and willing to aid the future of his sport, having hosted a training seminar for Celtic Wrestling in October 2006.

Finishers: The Cum Shot, The Browne Walk Slam

Bio:

The charismatic Tyler Browne is one of Celtic Wrestling's biggest stars. After wrestling as 'The Mexican' in C/W's early days, Browne was brainwashed by Jonathan James into joining his System faction. Fans saw a new, more focused Tyler Browne in battles with then-champion Matt Vaughn and The Workman, which saw Browne climb the company rankings.

Tyler then would wrestle maybe the match of his career against former FWA Tag champ 'Misfit' Jorge Castano in one of the top bouts of the 'Surprise! Surprise! supercard. However, Browne would soon slip into his comical ways of old, with apperances as a king, a cowboy and a superhero undermining Johnny James' vision of destruction.

After a big-time collision with 'Wonderkid' Jonny Storm showcased Browne's abilities once more as a top singles star, friction began to mount in The System. As both championships slipped away from crown jewel Chris Recall's grasp, Browne was made the scapegoat on several occasions.

Then, after The System's involvement caused a loss to Jekkel, Tyler was beaten down and out of the group - before going on to defeat them in numerous contests since. Today, Tyler Browne stands as one the promotion's top fan favourites, having defeated the hated Chris Recall several times and having fought side-by-side with the popular Tracy Smothers at the second annual 'Big Bang' show.

This former WWE and OVW star made his Celtic Wrestling debut at the third annual "Anger Management" in January 2008, where he came within a whisker of defeating then heavyweight champion Maddog Maxx. Four months later, he returned to face Caiman at "Spring Loaded", but their sporting match was interrupted by Method And Madness, leading to U-Gene becoming Caiman's officially recognised partner in a C/W tag team title defense, replacing the then injured Chris Recall.

Unfortunately, due to the referee being distracted by T-Bone, U-Gene and Caiman lost the title, but despite this we may yet see this popular American star again on Welsh shores.

Bio:

Vic Viper is another of the stars of Whiplash TV, brought over as part of the ongoing talent exchange between Celtic and Irish Whip Wrestling. Holding victories over Jay Phoenix, Red Vinny and Bubblegum in IwW, Viper was at one stage number one contender to the company's International Heavyweight title, but would lose it to another Celtic Wrestling competitor and fellow Irishman 'SOS' Sheamus O' Shanuessy in a triple threat match where he was actually never defeated.

Viper's Celtic Wrestling bow came at 'Big Bang 2' when he represented Ireland in the evening's international four-way. Pinning Tyler Browne in suspicious circumstances, Viper made it through to the final two, but was unable to defeat the experienced American Tracy Smothers. Nonetheless, it was a decent start for Viper, who hopes to appear for C/W again in the near future.

Trained by renowned British wrestler Andre ‘Sledgehammer’ Baker, Zack Sabre Jr. is one of the UK’s finest technicians within the squared circle.

Having competed for the NWA Hammerlock promotion in Cardiff, the previous year Sabre brought his NWA British Junior Heavyweight title to Celtic Wrestling in 2006 where he defended against five of the best in the weight limit that Wales has to offer.

Outlasting Chris Recall and others in a 6-man elimination match, Sabre and ‘Flying’ Mike Bird wrestled to a draw on Chaos TV, only for champion to defeat challenger in a stellar singles bout the following week.

With Sabre’s reign now standing at around the three-year mark, it is credit to C/W regular Bird that he came perhaps closest to snaring the championship belt.
